## Step-by-Step cPanel Deployment

### Step 1: Upload and Extract Files
1. Log in to your cPanel dashboard.
2. Open **File Manager** and navigate to your application root (e.g. `public_html` or a dedicated subdomain folder like `fajaracademy`).
3. Upload `Academy-ERP-Complete-Project.zip`.
4. Right-click the zip file and click **Extract** (enter password: `Khaskheli7978@#$`).
5. Ensure the `public/` directory contains `index.php`, `.htaccess`, `_next/`, and assets.

### Step 2: Database Setup
1. In cPanel, navigate to **MySQL Databases**.
2. Create a new database (e.g., `brightbrai_newfajar`).
3. Create a new MySQL user and assign a strong password.
4. Add the user to the database with **ALL PRIVILEGES**.
5. Open **phpMyAdmin** from cPanel, select your new database, and click **Import**.
6. Choose the file `database/database_dump.sql` (or `database/brightbrai_newfajar.sql`) and click **Import / Go**.
   * All 25+ relational tables, indexes, accounts, fee heads, settings, and initial data will be imported automatically.

### Step 3: Configure Environment File (`.env`)
In the root directory, edit `.env` (or copy `.env.example` to `.env`):

```ini
APP_NAME="FAJAR INSTITUTION"
APP_ENV=production
APP_DEBUG=false
APP_URL=https://yourdomain.com
DB_CONNECTION=mysql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=3306
DB_DATABASE=your_cpanel_database
DB_USERNAME=your_cpanel_db_user
DB_PASSWORD="your_db_password"
SESSION_DRIVER=file
SESSION_LIFETIME=10080
SESSION_COOKIE=erp_session
CACHE_STORE=file
ERP_AUTH_SECRET=6ba1cfd2231fcf44278cd39313ff8659dcc1e791395c495b461592768fcaf7ef
ERP_DEFAULT_PASSWORD=Demo@1234
ERP_COOKIE_NAME=erp_session
ERP_COOKIE_TTL_HOURS=168
ERP_COOKIE_PATH=/
ERP_COOKIE_DOMAIN=
ERP_COOKIE_SECURE=true
ERP_COOKIE_HTTPONLY=true
ERP_COOKIE_SAMESITE=Lax
```

### Step 4: Set Directory Permissions
Ensure Laravel cache and storage directories are writable by the web server:
```bash
chmod -R 775 storage
chmod -R 775 bootstrap/cache
chmod -R 755 public
```

### Step 5: Web Server Document Root Configuration
* Point your cPanel domain/subdomain document root to the `public/` directory.
* If your host does not allow changing the document root, the root `.htaccess` and `server.php` will forward all traffic to `public/`.
